Coyne to undergo scan
Chris Coyne is to have a scan on his knee so that the club can schedule the operation it will take to put it right. He has had the problem for some time and has been playing with the injury, but it got the better of him on Saturday at Preston when he landed awkwardly an jarred it again.
He missed the clash with Cardiff and is rated doubtful for Friday's televised match against Reading, although he will undergo a late fitness test.
Mike Newell said: 'Chris has been struggling with his knee injury for a while now.
'He will be seen by the specialist and undergo a scan and we will then make a decision on whether he goes for an operation now or we wait until the end of the season,' he revealed on the official website.
Meanwhile David Bell looks as though he may miss the rest of the season with a cartilage injury. The forner Rushden player was known to have a 'dodgy knee' and it was only a matter of time before he would require surgery. The time turned out to be very short!
