Mike Newell's behaviour regarding Leicester's interest in him as Manager was:

The result of the poll follows, however, it is amazing how the votes seemed to vary with the way Luton were performing on the pitch, and fans' views mellowed as time passed after he decided to stay.

55% of voters felt he did it to secure a new contract at the time of the incident, but the final result was that most fans thought his behaviour was exemplary.

Hardly any thought his behaviour disgraceful early on in the poll, but after two defeats and losing a 2 goal lead twice against Cardiff City the 'disgraceful' vote rose to 20%!

Exemplary : 41%

Ok but he could have kept us informed : 6%

Designed to facilitate a new contract from Luton :23%

Designed to raise his own profile : 6%

To alert Premiership clubs to his 'availability' : 4%
