Former Crewe midfielder Justin Cochrane, 24, scored in the reserves 1-1 draw at Stevenage, and ex-Rushden midfielder Gary Mills also featured, neither did enough to convince Mike Newell to follow up his interest.
Newell was reported as having said, 'They did okay but we will not really be doing anything regarding that.'
However, Anton Robinson has impressed and had his trial extended.
