Luton sign St Albans pair
Luton Town have announced the signing of St Albans City pair Godfrey Poku and JJ O'Donnell, on 18 month initial contracts, after a period on trial. It is believed that they are both likely to stay at St Albans on loan for the rest of the season although it is unclear whether this has as yet been agreed upon, although they will commence full time training at Kenilworth Road immediately.
Poku, 19, is a physical central midfield ball winner while O'Donnell, 18, is skilful forward who is equally at home up front or out wide.
Both players are free agents due to St Albans City's financial inability to hold players on contract, so they will receive no fee for the duo. However, the local paper has reported that their manager is hoping that Luton will agree a sell-on agreement.
