Luton: Sounded like a pantomime

My apologies for not having a first hand opinion of Luton's latest debacle in the Godforsaken Blue Square Premier League, but I was indulging my thesbian activities playing Captain Hook in a pantomime, and was fortunate not to have witnessed this match by all acounts.

Kept in touch by the club texts, I came off at the interval to see that despite taking the lead with a liam Hatch goal they managed to concede two in four minutes just before half time. I went on for the second half expecting Richard Money to turn it around second half but came off to see they managed to equalise but then concede again for another home defeat.

I wondered whether their performance was more panto than mine!

When the manager concedes that it was his lowest moment in football I must only be grateful I didn't make my usual 130 mile round trip to watch it!

Money said: 'I'm now 54 and I can't remember a moment where I've felt more disappointed angry and embarrassed in all of my football career.

'Normally I'm very positive after games. I will always try to defend our players but that performance was indefensible. When the third one went in and 'what a load of rubbish' came over the terraces I can tell you I was leading the chorus.

'It's a long time since I've been as angry as I've been today.

'However long it takes me I will sort it out. I'm not having it and they (the fans) shouldn't have it either.'

However, all is not lost,and I have to say that their away perfomances have been much better than those at the Kenny, but it looks now as if we are looking for a play-off place only, and they are going to have to improve their home performances if they are to achieve even that. The lottery of the play-offs is not what we were expecting, but I cannot see the top teams losing enough games for us to be in contention for the automatic spot unless something very odd happens!
