The Football Conference have released the following statement:
'The Board of the Football Conference has issued a statement following the meeting of member clubs at Rushden & Diamonds on Friday morning.
The statement reads: "Member clubs of the Football Conference, at a general meeting held today, voted in support of the Board of Director`s recommendation to erase Chester City (2004) FC Ltd from membership in accordance with Article 5.2.
Chester City did not attend the meeting.'
Statement ends.
No statement has yet been made releating to whether Chester City's results will be expunged.
It seems likely and if it transpires, Luton will gain the most of all the teams in the promotion race.
Notably Luton would gain four points on Stevenage, 1 point and 1 game in hand on Oxford, and 0 points but two games in hand over Kettering.
Luton would fall below Kettering immediately by 1 goal on goal difference, but should pull that back and some from two extra games on them.
