Luton 'show intent' with latest signing

Luton have signed Stevenage midfielder Andy Drury in what they describe as "a statement of intent".

Drury, an attacking midfielder has signed a two-year deal at Kenilworth Road.

He has spent the last two seasons at Broadhall Way making 65 appearances.

Previous clubs include Sittingbourne, Gravesend and Northfleet and Lewes.

A bit of a late developer, he was recognised as a talent by Graham Westley and has been a very strong [player for Stevenage, reaching the play-offs in his first season and promotion in the second.

His goal scoring rate is not high, although he did score in the FA Trophy Final at Wembley, but has many assists to his name and is described as a driving force, something we lacked last season until Simon Heslop arrived on loan. He is therefore another big piece in the new jigsaw being put together by Richard Money.

Hatters' Boss Richard Money told www.lutontown.co.uk:

"Andy has been a player who has been at the forefront our minds throughout the whole of last season and we are naturally absolutely thrilled that he has made the ambitious decision to join us.

"It's fantastic to be able to attract a player of his ability and believe that our long-term plans and current stature were the main factors in persuading him to agree terms with us."
