Luton: Heslop signs for Oxford
Luton's overtures to retain the services of last year's loan signing Simon Heslop have fallen on deaf ears.
Free agent Heslop had indicated that he would like to have stayed with Luton had they achieved promotion, but the lure of a longer contract and League football understandably swayed his decision to join Oxford.
It looks as though Luton may have to wait a year until we gain promotion and Oxford are relegated back into the Blue Square before signing him! :-)
Luton have yet to persuade Keith Keane to re-sign and with the loss of Heslop and Kevin Nicholls not expected to be fit until December, this leaves manager Richard Money with a headache.
Keane has been on holiday and presumably will be pressed for a decision upon his return.
However, the way Money and Assistant Manager Brabin have gone about their rebuilding process so far I would not be surprised if a plan B is not already in place.
