Luton to sign the Czechs! [OK sorry :-)]
Manager Richard Money disclosed after yesterday's Pre-season friendly against a Newcastle XI that he has signed Czech triallist Kdenĕk Kroča until January. His only worry seems to be whether the player can cope with the type of football in the Blue Square Premier League. he looks to me like a big boy who can handle himself!
Money also revealed that he is in discussions with Pavel Besta probably to sign a similar deal to have a closer look at him in the context of this league.
In particular Kroča looks to be the missing piece of the jigsaw and looks nailed on to be George Pilkington's partner in central defence in the opening match next week. Central defence was the one area which worried me slightly, especially if injuries reared their ugly heads. This signing not only plugs that gap but strengthens the team considerably.
Luton now have an embarrassment of riches up front and in midfield and the only difficulty now is to decide which players are in the starting line up.
