Luton: What do we all think now?

27 sounds like a lot (and the wage bill will reflect this!) but it's difficult to see O'Donnell, Nathaniel, Watkins, Walker and Patrick making a significant contribution this season although Poku is seemingly well regarded and may play a part. Nicholls' return from long term injury is still some time away and it's uncertain what, if any, part he'll play. In my opinion his best days are long past and he can be more of a liability than an asset but I'd love to be proved wrong. Alan White may be loaned out as I don't think Money has much time for him and I would agree; he was ponderous back in the day and a decade on he'll be no doubt be a decent aerial stopper but on the ground he'll be left for dead by a pacier player (ala Kovacs) and IO can see him being loaned out to the likes of Gateshead or Barrow before long. That leaves 20 players in serious contention and two of those are 'keepers; a first choice squad of 19 is decent but the two Czechs could be anything as they are untested at this sort of level although the signs are promising. I hope I don't sound pessimistic but a couple of injuries and a few suspensions will leave us with 15 to pick from although I have no doubt that the overall quality is better than any other side in this league.
