Luton wait on Shuker decision
Mike Newell is waiting to see if Chris Shuker accepts an offer of a new contract with Barnsley.
If he rejects the offer, Mike is considering the possibility of making him an offer to join the Town, as he would be a free transfer.
With Premiership interest in Carlos Edwards increasing, he would be a useful replacement, or, if the Hatters are able to fend off potential buyers for Edwards, Shuker would be a good back-up for the right wing berth.

we must be MAD to let Edwards go..If we are now in a position of building a new ground and lets hope the stories are true and we have the money and backing this time ,surelly a couple of million for a player would,nt be missed.Sell Edwards and it could well jump up and bite us in the Tobagoan Butt !! How many Goals would have been conceded last season if we still had had CurtissDavies? Not as many i bet and how many Goals were we short of a Premiership play off place lst Season...........again not many !!!!

Absolutely right. Newell has been quoted as saying none of our star players who are in contract are available. Let's see! If someone offers silly money I reckon they'll sell. I have heard that Newell doesn't think Feeney will make it in the CCC and will either continue to be the sub striker option or if the right offer comes in he will be allowed to leave, but only if we can secure another striker in the meantime, with Boyd being the preferred signing.
