Leeds chase Luton pair
Leeds United are believed to have offered £700K for Luton pair Steve Howard and Kevin Nicholls.
Mike Newell has stated that he does not want to lose any of his first team squad and both players are still under contract.
Players of the quality of Howard and Nicholls are not easy to find and when they are available they are worth far more than that each, let alone for the two of them, so I would anticipate the bid being turned down flat as Newell returns to oversee pre-season training.
Howie continues to interest Norwich manager Nigel Worthington although he has now said that he has not made any official bid.
Luton have aranged a whistle stop tour of Sweden for the end of the month, taking in two matches.
On Monday 24th July they will play Division One outfit, Bunkeflo IF, and then on Wednesday 26th July they will visit Nasets BK, who ply their trade in the Swedish Third Division.
