Luton clearout to continue?

According to Sky Sports, Carlos Edwards' agent has stating that the Trinidadian is keen on a move to bitter rivals Watford.

Watford have been reported as offering £400K for the player who arrived on a free transfer last season.

Mike Newell is thought to rate the player at £1m at least.

Reports are coming in now that Aidrian Boothroyd is preparing to make another offer.

Edwards'agent Mike Berry said:

'As far as Watford is concerned I'm not aware of the bids myself, other than I do know definitely, because I spoke to Adrian Boothroyd a couple of weeks ago, that Adrian wants him,'

'Carlos is very keen. When he first came to England six years ago his ambition always was, as a kid in Trinidad, to play in The Premiership.

'Carlos has enjoyed his first season at Luton, they had a fantastic year finishing in the top ten and at one point having a chance of getting into the play-offs - a fantastic year.

'But as far as Watford is concerned, of course he would like to play for Watford, they are in The Premiership, as simple as that, and he has told Mike Newell his views.'

Newell has always said that he will not stand in the way of ambitious players or any player that does not want to be with the club.

Berry believes Carlos is on his way and that Mike Newell come to a mutually suitable decision.

'He's been there, done that, won the t-shirt Mike, he's won The Premiership with Blackburn,' Berry added.

'He's a footballer through and through and I'm sure he'll do the right things for Carlos and for Luton.'
