Luton Reserves held

Considering the fact that many of Luton's first team squad were playing for the reserves yesterday, it does not bode well that they couldn't beat Orient reserves!

Luton looked lethargic from the off and when Peter Holmes flicked on Jason Demetriou's corner, Pepra Annan headed in from six yards.

Orient, continued to attack the Town and another Demetriou corner was headed goalwards by Justin Miller but Perrett cleared.

A 25 yarder from Dean Morgan tested the Orient keeper who palmed the ball into the path of the diminutive Danny Stevens who looked favourite to score before being robbed of the chance by Miller.

However, it was an error by Miller which allowed the ball to reach Stevens who crossed for Morgan to slam home a volley to equalise.

On 35 minutes Bell passed to Brkovic who chipped the ball to Boyd. The new Town signing controlled the ball on his chest then showed great control with an overhead pass into the path of Brkovic who powered it home.

It was Brkovic however who presented The O's with the opportunity to equalise when he miscontrolled and Jacob Ibehre gleefuly accepted the opportunity to shoot. Town keeper Zac Barrett made a great save only to see the ball fall to Chambers who made no mistake from 18 yards.

Brkovic suffered a dead leg soon after and was replaced by Ed Asafu-Adjaye.

The second half almost began as the first when Ibehre chipped the Town keeper but Perrett was again on hand to prevent a goal.

Stevens shot from 20 yards but saw trhe effort go narrowly wide before Barrett made another good save, after Efe Echanomi, made a long run from half way.

Boyd almost scored a winner at the death when he again showed some deft touches and lobbed the keeper, but the ball hit the post then seemed to hit the keeper and then the post again before being cleared.

With all substitutes used Luton had to hang on with 10 men when Andrew, a substitute himself, was forced to leave the proceedings after his buckled under him.

Luton: Zac Barrett, Ahmet Brkovic(Ed Asafu-Adjaye 46), Russ, Perrett(Shaun Ross 65), Keith Keane, Chris Pendleton(Calvin Andrew 67), David Bell, Stephen O'Leary, Peter Holmes, Danny Stevens, Dean Morgan, Adam Boyd. Subsitutes not used: Ross Faulds, Ashley Harrison-Barker.
