Despite Mike Newell's declaration that he wants to bring in a couple of players before the transfer window closes, none have been announced as of 3 p.m.on deadline day.
Newell did point out, however that the window for loan deals extends for another two weeks beyond today's permanent signing deadline, so he has loans in mind too.
