Our young central defender, Alex Lacey, was on the bench last night as the Hatters slipped to a defeat against Braintree Town.
Lacy is highly thought of by the Hatters coaching staff and his progress could soon get a massive boost with Buckle keen to blood him in the first team rather than loan him out with Buckle commenting about the situation,
"Richards is awhile away yet, but Lacey`s a very, very good talent and I want to be careful with that one."
"He`s closer to the first team than he probably realises and more than our fans realise."
"We`ve got a top centre-half at the club in young Alex Lacey."
"I`ll only let him out if I think that`s right for us and him."
Definitely one to keep an eye on then!
