Luton still hope to strengthen

Luton manager Mike Newell hopes to bring in some new faces before Saturday's home game with Crystal Palace.

Chris Coyne and Russell Perrett are still doubtful with injury, leaving Markus Heikkinen and Leon Barnett the only fit central defenders in the first team pool.

He had hoped to bring in at least one central defender last week before the deadline but failed to do so, leaving loan signings his only other option.

The window for loans re-opens on Friday and clubs are able to loan players during a period of 3 months.

Regarding loan players coming in Newell said:

'.............is something we are considering.

'We will have to see how Chris Coyne and Russell Perrett are doing, but we will have a think about it.'

Yes they do but they have to make the most of it while they can. And they must have been really proud of the way their team feigned injury all through the second half because they were too scared to play football.
