Short Changed?
Although, initially, we thought it was a splendid idea implemented by Norwich City to dramatically reduce the ticket prices for our FA Cup 4th round tie, we`re, like many, beginning to have reservations.
Whilst it`s nice to be able to cough up a mere £10 to watch Luton Town in action at a Premier League ground, the general air of consent is that, as a club, we`re being short-changed.
Now whilst I can accept that Norwich City are reducing prices to ensure that Carrow Road is full, probably because they view us as inferior opposition, the total takings for ticket prices, due to the reduced prices will be drastically reduced.
Accepting that Luton will receive some £67,000 for making the 4th round, the consensus is there that implies we could easily have pocketed a rather large sum, from our share of the gate receipts, instead of a reduced amount from the bargain-bucket prices.
So, all is not quite a sit seems as we hand over our £10 for a ticket is it!

Righto. Norwich tried charging £30 to watch Spurs in the League Cup and got 16000. That would get you £240,000. A full house at £10 a ticket gets you £260,000. I guess £20 would net you around £250,000... Up to you, really. You could always follow Luton Town advice and donate an extra £5 direct to your club - get your £260,000 and a nice little bonus on top... IF any of you are really THAT loyal?
