'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Fleetwood Quandary!

I stumbled, purely by chance, upon an interesting piece on the internet yesterday.

It related to our top scorer Stuart Fleetwood and the fact that nothing has taken place with regards to talks about his contract that, we believe, ends at the end of this season.

Fleetwood, now twenty-six, has netted 11 times for Luton this season but in recent matches has found himself occupying a place on the bench with Paul Buckle preferring to utilize Jon Shaw and Andre Gray in attack.

Giving the subject some thought, I`d suggest much depends o how our season pans out. If Luton can get back into the Football League, there could, quite possibly, be a major overhaul of the squad to get it up to the standard needed to make an impression in the Football League.

We surmise that then, and only then, will a decision be made on the future of Stuart Fleetwood and others in the same predicament, but, personally, I`d keep him on!
