Did I hear a collective groan fill the air when the 5th round draw paired us with Millwall yesterday?
Okay, we were hoping to get drawn against a big Premier League tie, preferably away from home and preferably to boost our financial status, but instead we were landed with Millwall.
Instantly, the events of 1985 spring to mind when Luton was besieged by thousands of Millwall supporters and scenes of one of the worst football riots this country has ever seen were broadcast around the globe.
Our fear, here at Vital Luton Town, is that any money we`ve pulled in from this great FA Cup run could be about to be sucked out of the coffers by increased Policing costs to ensure that the events of 1985 are not, in any shape or form, repeated!
