Tyler - Simply the Best!
Although the plaudits tend to be taken by the strikers in moments like our splendid FA Cup win against Norwich, one of those very strikers, Jon Shaw, has taken time out to praise one of our unsung heroes.
On Saturday, as Norwich tried, in vain, to get that crucial breakthrough and then an equalizer, Mark Tyler proved that age is no barrier producing save after save as the Hatters held firm.
Shaw, speaking to the media afterwards, a media that engulfed any of the Hatters squad they could get hold of, remarked about Tyler,
"Any fan who has watched our level for a couple of years will tell you he is clearly the best keeper in our standard, if not the standard above."
"We are lucky to have him. The teams that have had him have had a great keeper for the last 20 years."
And we`ll agree with those sentiments whole-heartedly!
