Up in the distant north, Luton Town slipped to a defeat that saw them fall further behind the Conference leaders, Grimsby Town, whilst also slipping a place down the Conference Premier table.
Beforehand, the game had been touted as one that we just had to win, after all hadn`t we thumped Barrow 6-1 back at Kenilworth Road ad weren`t we supposed to be on a high after the FA Cup win at Carrow Road?
Well as you all know, things, when it comes to football, don`t often go to plan!
Instead of coming home with three points, we made the long journey south with nothing to show for our troubles apart from a ban for Rowe-Turner who was shown the red card by the referee, Mr Backhouse.
Luton were up against it from the moment they conceded a goal in the fifth minute when Adam Boyes fired home from just inside the area. Although the defence had been bolstered by McNulty
Making his debut, Luton could never get back into the game.
The best chances we had, in this strange game, came through Henry, Taylor and Gray but that elusive bulging of the net eluded us and when Rowe-Turner received a straight red-card for violent conduct you just knew it was time to get back in the car, start the engine and make that long trek home.
