Hatters Sign Defender!

Hatters Sign Defender!

Having intimated, following the defeat to Barrow, that he was looking to bring in another defender, Paul Buckle has succeeded in his quest.

Luton have announced that Wayne Thomas, a thirty three year old defender, has been awarded a contract that will see him remain at Kenilworth Road at least until the end of the season.

Thomas, able to play as a centre back or a right-back, has played for numerous clubs, with spells at Torquay, Stoke City, Burnley, Southampton and Doncaster.

Speaking about the acquisition, Buckle has commented to the local media,

"Wayne is a fantastic professional who has enjoyed a great career and we are positive that his infectious enthusiasm for the game will rub off on the group here."

"He has played at a very good level for the whole of his career and has the necessary attributes to become a very good member of the squad."

Here at Vital Luton Town, we`d like to welcome Wayne to Kenilworth Road and we hope he enjoys a prosperous time with our fine club.
