The sending off of Alex Lawless made it two consecutive fixtures in which Luton Town have been reduced to ten-men.
Last Saturday Lathaniel Rowe-Turner received a red up at Barrow, a red that Luton contested but we were to, ultimately, fail with an appeal.
Yesterday, it was the turn of Alex Lawless to see red and following the 1-1 draw with Forest Green, a draw that leaves Luton with a lot to do to make up the gap on the division leaders, Paul Buckle was, once again not happy with the referee, remarking post-match,
"I did not think it was a sending off."
"I think in a game of this magnitude common sense should prevail. It was a shoulder to shoulder in the corner. It was nothing dirty."
"Alex is not that type of player. No-one could believe it in the ground."
It did seem harsh but the worst thing is that seeing as it was a second yellow we`re not allowed to appeal.
