This afternoon, at a packed Kenilworth Road, Luton exited the FA Cup at the fifth round stage.
Millwall`s emphatic 3-0 win allows us to concentrate on achieving our main goal this season that of promotion back to the Football League.
Rumours suggest that our FA Cup run has earned us a cool £500,000, a huge amount for a club in our financial situation.
But the dream doesn`t have to die does it?
Today there were 9,768 spectators inside the quaint old ground, albeit with 1,530 of those being away fans, but the atmosphere was fantastic prompting our chairman, Nick Owen, to remark ahead of the kick-off,
'This is a sensational day for us. The atmosphere inside the ground is brilliant. This is what I fell in love with 55 years ago. This is what you live for.'
It is and if we can get back into the Football League we have that foundation to once again build upon and, in the not too distant future, days like today will be common place.
