Down at Kenilworth Road yesterday, the Hatters, after a poor first half, didn`t get the best of receptions when they trudged off at half time.
But, in true Luton style, the second half performance was much better and the team received, after the late equaliser, a rousing reception as they headed to the dressing room at full time.
With the largest and most vocal support, and probably the most expectant set of supporters in this league, any changes in attitude are bound to be noticed.
Yesterday, after the game with Hereford, John Still was quick to pick up on the subject, honestly remarking,
"The fans were great, the players were clapped off - and we only drew."
"If you`re poor then the fans are going to moan, that`s football. The only way to make them happy is by putting in 100 per cent. If you`re good enough and you put in 100 per cent you`re going to win a lot of your games."
That is all we can ever ask, 100 per cent effort, then there will be no complaints!
