Luton 1 Kidderminster 2
Well that must be it, although we`ve said it before, we surely are now condemned to another season in the Conference after this defeat to Kidderminster.
But, instead of mulling over what might have been, perhaps we should look towards next season and try and emulate a Kidderminster side that, after a dodgy start, have taken the Conference by storm.
Shuffling his starting eleven slightly, by selecting Robinson and Rendell, John Still watched on as our visitors raced into a 2-0 lead.
The first goal came from Josh Gowling who scored from close range after the Hatters defence had failed to clear a corner from Kyle Storer.
The second, from Anthony Malbon more or less sealed our fate. However, we should point out that the situation wasn`t quite as posted with Luton having two good chances to reduce the arrears.
The first of these saw Scott Rendell hit the cross bar with a header and the second saw Gowling repeat that feat.
Late in the second half, with Andre Gray brought into the attack, Luton did reduce the arrears when Gray finished from close range but there was, in all honesty, no denying that Kidderminster were the better side and a side that look destined to win the Conference Premier.
