'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Eastleigh Dream Over

Last week we ran an article relating to Eastleigh and the fact that two of our youngsters were involved in their push for promotion, via the play-offs.

In their first leg Blue Square Bet South semi-final, against Dover, they were soundly beaten 3-1, with one of our loan players receiving a red card.

However, yesterday, Eastleigh almost retrieved what appeared a lost cause.

Over at Dover, the plucky Eastleigh side won the game 2-0, making it 3-3 on aggregate, with a last minute equaliser.

But as we all know, football can be a cruel game and their hopes of reaching the play-off final were dashed when Dover won the resulting penalty shoot-out 4-3.

Now we believe that defeat means every one of our players has now finished their 2012/2013 season, unless you know different.
