I Felt Physically Sick!

I Felt Physically Sick!

It wasn't supposed to be like that was it?

Yesterday afternoon, with nothing better to do, I tuned into Sky Sport`s coverage of the Champions Play-Off semi-final second leg.

It featured, of course, our old adversaries Watford against a Leicester City side that had the advantage from the first leg, courtesy of a goal from David Nugent.

The purpose of me watching the fixture was, yes you`ve guessed it, to see Watford`s hopes of promotion to the Premier League dashed.

The game itself was entertaining enough, but my moment of real glee came when Leicester City were awarded a penalty in the 5th minute of second half stoppage time.

A success form the spot would, to my delight, have put Leicester in the final and thereby eliminating Watford.

But, my worst nightmare was to come true!

The keeper not only saved the original spot-kick but also got up t block the rebound and in the space of twenty seconds Watford broke with the result that Troy Deeney scored the goal that sent Watford to the final and, in doing so, made me feel physically sick!

It wasn`t supposed to be like that was it?

Could Hylton Face Retrospective Action?

After the 1-1 draw at the Keepmoat Stadium, it appears that the Doncaster Rovers manager, Darren Ferguson, had a bone to pick with our leading scorer, Danny Hylton.
