Patience is the Order of the Day!

Patience is the Order of the Day!

As we look outside and see the suns rays streaming down and with the outside temperature climbing to a respectful level, the football season seems to be ages away.

At the moment I`m still in that phase whereby I`m glad the season is over but already, with John Still bringing in a plethora of new talent, I`m eager to greet the new season, eager to see just exactly what the 2013/2014 season has in store for us.

You see, I just have this strange feeling that this will be our season, that come May 2014 we`ll be dancing a jig of delight, on the Kenilworth Road pitch, celebrating the fact that we are, once again, a Football League club.

Yes, I know I have similar feelings every year at about this time but, trust me, this year they are stronger than ever.

But, whilst the season may kick off on 10th August, we`ve still quite a wait for the actual Conference fixtures to be released. Now I may be wrong here but it seems to me that back in the days when we were in the Football League (please don`t remind me how long ago that was), the fixtures for the forthcoming season were released in June.

Unfortunately, down in the Conference the wheels appear to turn a little slower because looking at the official site, our fixtures for the 2013/2014 season are not officially released until Friday 5th July, it seems like an eternity but then again, I just have this feeling that Project Luton is going to take the league by storm, so what`s a little wait!
