Young Spaniard Plays 90 Minutes
Having beaten Aston Villa 2-0, on Tuesday night, in a pre-season friendly, John Still took a different looking side to Creasey Park last night, to play Dunstable.
As it turned out Luton suffered a 2-0 defeat against their near-neighbours in front of a crowd of 654.
But the fixture gave John Still the chance to run the rule over a player he is keen to bring to Kenilworth Road to boost competition for places in the defence.
The player in question is the 25 year-old Spaniard Aitor Nunez who has, previously, played for Real Madrid B, Tenerife and Rayo B.
Nunez, a versatile defender, is normally at home as a right back but is also able to slip in at left back if the need requires. Last night, he played the full 90 minutes at right back and produced a competent performance producing some decent touches.
It now remains to be seen whether the young Spaniard has done enough to be offered a contract that will suit both parties.
