Conference Update - 18th August 2013

Well we`re three games into the new season and, surprisingly, not one side has a 100% record.

Southport entered the day having won 2 out of 2 but went down 3-1 at Nuneaton who stand in third position in the league.

The new leaders, on goal difference are Cambridge United who moved t 7 points with a 1-0 win at Aldershot who languish at the bottom of the table with -6 points.

Barnet, fancied by some, under the guidance of Edgar Davids, to make an immediate return to the Football League are also in the pack on 7 points after a 2-1 away win at Gateshead.

Also on 7 points are Lincoln City who beat Forest Green 2-1 whilst Alfreton Town are the last team in the play-off places, on 6 points after getting the better of Salisbury in a five gal thriller.

At the bottom, just above Aldershot are three teams on 0 points - Gateshead, Salisbury and Chester with the latter yet to score a goal this season, he only team in the Conference Premier not to have done so.

As for Luton, we languish in 13th place, on four points, tucked in alongside Forest Green Rovers who we play next Saturday.
