A Slow Start?

A Slow Start?

Last season Andre Gray was, in my opinion, by far our most exciting forward.

When Andre got the ball things happened and it came as no surprise, to me, to learn that several league clubs were tracking his progress.

This season, it`s a puzzle as to why Andre hasn`t been a regular starter. When he`s come off the bench, with Luton struggling, he`s shown that he has the tools in his locker to open defences up and make a difference.

Following the 1-1 draw with Macclesfield, on Saturday, John Still had a few words to say abot the England 'C` forward, remarking to the local media,

"Andre has come on in a couple of games that we`ve had and done really, really well, but its different starting, it`s different. Andre started really slow pre-season, I felt he was a bit behind."

"Twice he`s come on and in the games he`s really lit up for us and he played today and did okay."

Quite why Andre was a bit behind is something that`s not fully explained, did the England 'C` tour affect his pre-season, was he carrying a niggling injury or did, quite possibly, the fact that he was linked with a move to the Football League, quite possibly to Peterborough, unsettle him?

Your thoughts on the subject would be most appreciated.
