Keep the Momentum Going

Keep the Momentum Going

For a club like ours, a club that has graced the top flight in English football but somewhat fallen from grace in recent times, promotion is a wonderful experience.

Getting back into the Football League is an experience we will all treasure for several years to come and in doing so breaking so many records shows we achieved promotion in some style.

But getting promotion is just the beginning, we can`t rest on our laurels and believe all the hard work has been done, that would be an extremely dangerous thing to do.

Complacency is a dangerous beast and not one we want to dally with.

Therefore, it is encouraging to hear our defender, Fraser Franks, talk about keeping the momentum we have established going with Franks remarking to the local media,

"I don`t see why we can`t go in there and compete well."

"We`ve got some good momentum, we know how to win games as a squad, so hopefully, we can carry on from where we left off."

"Winning`s a habit and we won a lot of games last year."

My feeling is that if we can get off to a good start then half the job will be done, if we don`t then that aforementioned complacency factor might be our undoing!
