Swindon Boss Anticipates Hostile Atmosphere

Swindon Boss Anticipates Hostile Atmosphere

With the Football League season drawing nearer by the day, there`s also the small matter of our involvement in the Capital One Cup, or the League Cup as the elder statesmen amongst us might prefer to call it.

The draw, recently carried out, gave us a decent tie and a decent test for the opening days of the new season when it paired us with the League One side, Swindon Town.

Both clubs have history in this competition with both clubs having won the famous trophy at Wembley Stadium with both clubs, incidentally, beating Arsenal.

The tie, on 11th August, promises to be a n enthralling one and the Swindon boss, Mark Cooper, has had a few words to say on what he anticipates taking on Luton Town will be like with the Robin`s boss remarking to the media,

"They had a fantastic season last year and they`re back in the Football League."

"The manager`s done a fantastic job getting teams out of the Conference so it will be a stiff test."

"When you go to Kenilworth Road it`s always a hostile atmosphere and I`m sure it will be no different on that night."

"It`s always a tough place to go as a player and as a manager so I`m looking forward to it."

And so are we, it could be a night when we embark on another famous domestic cup run ad a night whereby Kenilworth Road will be packed to the rafters!
