Still Admits We Got What We Deserved!

This League Two lark is proving harder than we expected.

It seems a long time ago since that opening day win up at Carlisle, suddenly those thoughts of back-to-back promotion seem a little ambitious.

Yesterday, against Shrewsbury, just over a 1,000 travelling Hatters supporters saw Luton beaten 2-0, by Shrewsbury.

The defeat hurt and in his after-match interview, with the local media, John Still admitted we got what we deserved, remarking,

"We were well out-played, we conceded a goal too early again, from last week, that`s really disappointing."

"It was a good ball and a good goal, but from where it`s come from, we`ve got to defend that better."

"I thought for the next half an hour we were chasing and we got back in the game towards the end of the first half, so I thought second half we may be able to push on a little bit."

"But they were better than us, we haven`t played with enough quality, enough passing quality, which is a feature of what we do."

"Ball retention, we were going forward and losing the ball too easy, which gave them too much of the ball, and they moved it well."

"We defended reasonably solid, changed our system early on to match up, but gave too many free kicks away and forget the result, they deserved to beat us."

Promotion! I`d settle for consolidation at the moment!

How about you?
