An offer from Cardiff for Rowan Vine, said to be 'way below our valuation of the player', has been turned down by Town boss Mike Newell.
Cardiff have been watching Vine's progress and have been impressed by his workrate and goals tally.
Mike is believed to value the player at £2.5 million, with Fulham said to be about to offer £1.5 million for the player.
Seems that there are plenty of offers for players going out, but so far little activity in the other direction.
With Luton sitting perilously close to the relegation mire, and the income from Championship football being way above that from League one, it is to be hoped that a large portion of incoming transfer funds will be given to Mike to not only find replacements but also to strengthen the overall depth of the squad.
That said, how much damage has Mike's verbal volley against agents, and Luton's slide down the league table done to his ability to persuade players to come to Luton?
