Luton: Hungarian on trial - UPDATE

Tomas Sowunmi, a Hungarian International who has been playing in the Czech Republic, is on trial with the Hatters and will line up in the reserves today at Brisbane Road.

Several other trialists will also have a chance, one of whom is ex-Hatter Liam George.

Since being shown the door by Joe Kinnear after getting to big for his silver boots, Liam has appeared in many non league sides as well as Clydebank, York, Boston and had a spell with Atlanta Silverbacks in the USA.

In a career of 158 appearances and has scored 32 goals, although 21 of those came when he was a regular in the Town side, during his 101 appearances.

He has not showered himself in glory since leaving Kenilworth Road, then? It seems a great waste of a talent which showed a lot of potential.

I cannot see how his record since moving from Luton makes him a serious contender for a contract in the Championship. Mike! Are you 'avin' a laff? Is he 'avin' a laff?

According to Sky Sports, Sowunmi is spending ten days with the Hatters, who have reportedly also offered a one week trial to Hungarian Under 21 international Tamas Tandari and former Hungarian international Norbert Toth.
