Luton Town 2 Leyton Orient 2

The honours were shared at Kenilworth Road on Good Friday.

Ahead of the game Leyton Orient were expected to be brushed aside by a Luton side looking to further their play-off credentials, however, with relegation staring them in the face Leyton Orient put up a fight to ensure they live for another day.

With over 8,000 inside Kenilworth Road, Orient had the firs decent chance of the game when a header from Victor Adeboyejo was just off target. The Hatters responded with a volley from Scott Cuthbert that was deflected over whilst Glen Rea saw his header saved by the Orient keeper Sam Sergeant.

But, in the 33rd minute Luton did take the lead when a pretty fine through ball from Olly lee saw Danny Hylton to seize the opportunity to score his 25th goal of the season. Luton increased the pressure as half-time approached and Sargeant was on hand to make two stops to deny Luke Gambin with Jack Marriott going close with a shot.

Luton didn`t start the second half so well and Orient were to level eight minutes into the half from the penalty spot. The penalty was awarded after Rea was adjudged to have handled a drive from Michael Collins. Liam Kelly made no mistake from the twelve-yard mark, levelling the score.

With a hush falling over Kenilworth Road, Orient were to take a shock lead just past the hour mark when Tristan Abrahams was on hand to slip the ball under Stuart Moore in the Luton goal. The Hatters now had it all to do to get anything out of the game.

But the Hatters were to level with seventeen minutes left when Isaac Vassell, on as a substitute, raced clear to score from a one-on-one with Sargeant.

Both sides went looking for a winner and Orient almost succeeded but a last-gasp tackle from James Justin ensured the spoils were shared.

The draw leaves Luton in fourth place with a play-off place looking more likely than an automatic promotion place.
