Vassell and Hylton - Doing the Business

Vassell and Hylton - Doing the Business

When Isaac Vassell signed for Luton Town Football Club, from Truro City, it`s fair to say that a few eye-brows may have been raised.

However, the striker has proven that he can operate at this level and his equaliser, against Leyton Orient on Good Friday, was his 11th of the season.

Playing alongside Danny Hylton, Vassell, in talking to the local media, has admitted that he is playing alongside one of the best strikers around, with Isaac remarking,

'Danny's finish was up there with the best of them. It was a great touch, but he still had some work to do. He rolled off the defender and slotted it in with his left foot, which is not always easy to do.

'It was a great finish, and he's a good role model to have. He's scored so many goals and they're all different finishes. The other thing with Hylts is he's got great movement, so I'm trying to shadow him and learn from him.'

The goal scored by Danny on Good Friday was his 25th of the season a fine return and we`d expect Danny is looking at hitting the 30 mark before the season ends, hopefully with promotion from the play-offs.

As for Vassell, the striker had to come off of the bench to notch his eleventh goal of the season but he admitted he`s not one to create a fuss about not starting, simply remarking to the local media,

'As a player you always want to start, but there's never any bitterness. You need the right ethic to kick on, you can't hold a grudge or sulk. You just get on with it and take your opportunity when it comes.

'It was frustrating, but any way I can make an impact I will, and coming on to get a goal did just that. We needed the goal - I just went through and kept a cool head. The keeper came out and gave me a side so I slotted it in.'

Can we hope for more of the same against Mansfield this Easter Monday?

Let`s hope so!
