Former Striker Set for Hatters Return
And a link-up with someone who might be quite familiar.
With Nathan Jones looking to rebuild the Hatters squad, ahead of what we all hope will be a charge to promotion, several sources are linking Luton with a move for a striker currently on the books of Barnsley.
In fact it is a striker Hatters fans may be familiar with!
According to one source, Luton Today, the Hatters are favourites to sign Elliot Lee.
Twenty-two-year-old Lee has pulled on a Hatters shirt before when, back in the 2014 / 2015 season, he spent some time on loan at Kenilworth Road from West Ham United.
Whilst at Luton, in the aforementioned season, Lee netted with almost his first touch, against AFC Wimbledon before scoring a brace against Wycombe. However, an injury picked up in the same match affected the rest of his loan spell with Luton.
Returning to West Ham, Lee was loaned out to Blackpool and Colchester before signing for Barnsley in the summer last year.
At Barnsley, Lee has had a far from happy time, making just six appearances from the bench, his last appearance coming in the 3-0 defeat inflicted by Newcastle on the final day of the season.
If, as the pundits suspect, Eliot Lee does return to Kenilworth Road, it`ll mean a link-up with his brother Ollie.
We`ll keep abreast of the situation and report back as deemed necessary.
