Hatters Sign Second Keeper
After securing the services of Marek Stech, Nathan Jones hinted that the Hatters were looking at bringing in another keeper ready for next season.
With Craig King having decided that the professional game was no longer for him, that need to bring in a second keeper intensified.
Yesterday afternoon, Luton Town Football Club announced that they had succeeded in signing a second keeper.
The man who will be set to challenge Marek Stech for the green jersey is the former AFC Wimbeldon goalkeeper James O`Shea.
O`Shea has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal with Luton Town.
The 26-year-old left AFC Wimbledon at the end of last season with more than a century of appearances for the club.
Talking about his latest signing, Nathan Jones quipped,
'They are both of real good ages that they can still develop and still get better.
'James has the experience of being promoted from this division with Wimbledon and, although Marek initially comes in as our number one, we do feel that we've got two first-choice goalkeepers that can compete.'
Here at Vital Luton Town we`d like to take this opportunity to officially welcome James O`Shea to our fine club, here`s hoping his stay is an enjoyable and successful one.
