Luton Town 1 Morecambe 0
The Hatters march towards the League Two title continued at Kenilworth Road, on Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 win over a lucky Morecambe side.
The win, allied with a surprise home loss for Notts County at the hands of Exeter City, leaves the Hatters six points clear at the top of the table.
However, whilst there were many positives to take from the game, there was one huge negative with Luton`s top-scorer, Danny Hylton, limping off injured after just eight minutes.
The first half saw Luton create the majority of the chances with Luke Berry and Glen Rea both having efforts missing the target.
Morecambe in the opening half, rarely threatened, but on the one occasion they did Stech was on hand to produce a save from Aaron McGowan.
The second half saw Stech forced into action again to stop a deflected effort from Adam McGurk from going in and then pounced to deny the same player when he got on the end of a cross from Luke Conlan.
However, the decisive moment in the game came when, from a free-kick taken by Olly Lee, Johnny Mullins was on hand to head home.
Mullins could have had a second goal but his effort went just wide.
Morecambe, trying to snatch a point, saw Kevin Ellison shoot wide from outside the box and then Steven Old heading the ball wide from a corner.
