Collins - A Missed Opportunity?

Collins - A Missed Opportunity?

Back in the summer, when Nathan Jones was active in the transfer market, the gaffer managed to persuade Crawley Town to part with James Collins and also convince the striker that Kenilworth Road was the place to be.

His arrival, replacing Jack Marriott in the squad, has proven to be quite a coup.

The forward, who netted twenty league goals for Crawley Town last season, has continued his prolific form in front of goal.

Last night, against his former club, Collins added another brace to his total and looks well on the way to matching his tally of last season.

However, somewhat foolishly, I neglected to have a small wager on Collins scoring, even though football is littered with players who have scored against their former clubs.

Next time maybe I`ll remember and perhaps earn a few bob!
