Luton 2 Cheltenham 2

Kenilworth Road witnessed a fight-back against Cheltenham that man thought wasn`t in the script for this game.

Many pundits suspected that Luton would continue where they left off in their previous game and register a hefty win.

Nobody believed that Cheltenham would be leading 2-0 just before the hour mark.

The visitors took the lead just before half-time when Joe Morrell scored a goal that must be a contender for goal-of-the-season with his shot flying past Marek Stech, in the Hatters goal, from all of thirty-yards out.

Luton, before they fell behind, did have chances of their own, but these were spurned by James Collins, Harry Cornick and Olly Lee.

Emerging for the second-half, a goal behind, Luton had a great chance to draw level when the Hatters were awarded a penalty, but Collins spot-kick was saved by Ross Flinders in the Cheltenham goal.

Almost immediately Luton were left to rue that miss when Cheltenham doubled their lead when Mohamed Eisa scored after fifty-five minutes.

But Luton are made of strong stuff these days and the Hatters were bac in the game when, almost immediately after Cheltenham had doubled the lead, Luke Berry pulled a goal-back from close-range.

With the home support getting behind the side, Danny Hylton, on as a substitute saw his effort saved by Flinders but, in stoppage-time, the Hatters did grab a share of the spoils when Alan Sheehan headed home a corner from Luke Gambin.

Next up for Luton is a trip to Cambridge next weekend.
