A Late Change of Plan Earned Luton a Draw
Against Cheltenham, on Saturday, it looked for long periods of the game that the Hatters would slip to an unexpected defeat.
Although, after trailing 2-0, the Hatters had got the score-line back to 2-1, it looked as if that elusive equaliser was never going to come.
But, right at the death, up-stepped Alan Sheehan to head home at the far-post.
However, it seems that the outcome could have been so different as Sheehan should have been taking the set-piece but as he confirms in an interview with the media, a last-minute change of plan saw the dramatic change in events take place.
Take it away Alan,
"I just thought I`d get up there and try to score, I said to Luke, 'You take it`.
"It was a split-second decision and he put over a great ball. It was now or never - I had to hit the target and I got on the end of it."
And the resulting goal sent the home support barmy!
