Luton to appoint Blackwell?

According to reports in the national press, Luton are set to appoint Kevin Blackwell as manager possibly in a short term deal until the end of the season, when a permanent appointment will be made.

It is newspaper speculation at the moment, and it is easy to see how such a conclusion could be reached.

He is an experienced Championship manager, a local man and a known admirer of the club who is out of work.

How much of the story is speculation on those facts and how much is 'in the know' reporting we will no doubt find out shortly.

With the loan transfer window closing today, it will be too late for any new manager to bring in any last minute on the field saviours, so whoever it is will have to work with what we have got left to work an unlikely miracle.

If it is Blackwell, I would wager he'd love to keep Luton up at the expense of his former employers Leeds Untied!

Colchester confirmed that no approach has been made for Hartford by you (see our site, please!) but what price for him to take over? And what do Vital Luton users think of Mick?

any truth in the Newell 10% rumour?
merlin
Who knows? If it is in his contract then technically he wouldn't have done anything wrong, but it would be ironic that he wants to know where the money went if ten percent was in his bank account.
