Luton Reserves beat their Northampton counterparts 2-1 at Kenilworth Road this afternoon, with Calvin Andrew playing a starring role, in front of the watching Kevin Blackwell.
Firstly, Calvin hit the bar with a good shot but the rebound came to Langley, who calmly slotted home. Then Boyd headed into the penalty area and Andrew was first onto the losse ball to force the ball into the net from close in.
Luton had dominated the play and despite Northampton scoring a consolation goal late on, after Luton were reduced to 10 men, when Andrew was taken off with a slight injury, they held on for the win.
Luton Res: Barrett, Ross, Emanuel (Stevens 56), O'Leary, Perrett (Beavan 46), Strang, Brkovic (Osborne-Ricketts 63), Boyd, Andrew, Langley, Idrizaj
