Hatters boss Kevin Blackwell has warned the players that if they don't give him 100 per cent effort in the last three games of the season, they may not be part of the next.
The Manager said on Luton's Official Website:
'If I see things like I did in the first half on Saturday then it doesn't matter how long their contracts are - they won't be here.'
This follows his criticism of the former management regime's failure to adequately replace the players who were sold in the transfer window.
He went on:
'Everybody is fighting for their position at this football club.
'It's important that the players know exactly what I'm looking for and the standards that I'm trying to set, and Saturday's game was a good opportunity to spell it out clearly.
'There's been nothing wrong with their training. I've been very pleased with their attitude but clearly when it became important to perform some of them failed on Saturday.'
