Kevin Blackwell has told the club's official website that he intends to trawl the local area to ensure that no homegrown talent slips through the net.

Kevin told www.lutontown.co.uk:
'You should look after your own back yard and I would be loathe to see young players from North Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire going to other clubs when we should be having them here.
'We had at least six players who went to Derby that came through our youth ranks, and I think that at times during that game it was hard to work out who was top and who was bottom of the league.'
He concluded:
'If we can nurture the local talent then any money that we do spend will be used as the cream on the cake.'
